A judge is being asked to overturn Greenville County s rejection of plans to build 130 single-family homes and 17 townhouses on a 42-acre wooded site near Pebble Creek Country Club.
Landowner Jo Ellen Johnson filed an appeal Thursday that seeks to reverse the Greenville County Planning Commission s denial of the Roberts Farm subdivision at East Mountain Creek, Mountain Creek Church and Stallings roads.
The Planning Commission s 5-4 vote to derail the Roberts Farm plan came after Pebble Creek and Paris Mountain-area residents said traffic from the proposed subdivision would further overburden already-dangerous roads in the area.
County Attorney Mark Tollison said Friday that he is aware of the appeal but that county officials have not been formally served with legal documents in the case.
