Weldon Cloyce Miller, age 85, of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Visitation services will be Friday, January 15th, from 6-8 p.m. at Bates Cooper Sloan Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 16th, at 2 p.m. at the North Jefferson church of Christ in Mt. Pleasant with Kris Groda officiating. Pallbearers include the elders of the North Jefferson church of Christ, Florence Brannon, Jr., Art Scharlach, and Ty Abston. Honorary pallbearers include the Deacons of the North Jefferson Church of Christ, Directors of Guaranty Bancshares, Guaranty Bank & Trust, Sondra Cunningham, and his grandsons. Burial will follow at Nevill’s Chapel Cemetery. There will not be a graveside service.
Charles David Mahoney, 83, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020, peacefully at his home in Sterling, Kansas. He was born March 31, 1937, in Sterling Kansas to Logan and Josephine Mahoney.
Chuck grew up in Sterling and graduated from Sterling High School in 1955 and attended Sterling College and Ft Hays State College.
In 1958, he left Sterling and moved to Big Piney and went to work in the oilfield for Belco Petroleum (EOG) where he met Jo Ann Miller from Mountain View and in 1959, they married. Kimberlee was born in 1960 and Michael was born in 1962.

He loved his family very much and they spent every weekend either camping, boating, fishing, hunting or taking snow machine trips through West Yellowstone. Chuck always attended his children’s sports activities and music concerts and was always working on their vehicles during their college years when they broke down.
