GUWAHATI: Two neo-Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (neo-JMB) cadres were arrested with arms and fake Indian currency notes (FICN) over Rs 1 lakh by the special branch of Assam police in Dhubri district in lower Assam.
The cadres have been identified as Mozibar Rahman alias Gunbar Ali and his brother Faizar Ali from Lakura area under Gauripur police station in the district. They were arrested on April 24, but was not revealed due to security issues.
Police recovered four country-made pistols, fake Indian currency note of Rs 1 lakh denominations and a few suspected gold sheets from Mozibar. He has been booked under sections 120(B), 420 and 489(A) of IPC and Section 25 I(A) of the Arms Act.
