Patna: Bihar government on Monday dismissed three lower court judges from service for improper conduct. All three judges were found in January 2013 in Kathmandu, Nepal, with a woman in a hotel room. Regarding the same incident, the three judges have been dismissed by the Bihar government.
The judges who have been dismissed by the Bihar government are Hari Niwas Gupta, then Judge of the Family Court of Samastipur, Chief Judicial Magistrate Komal Ram of Araria and Jitendra Nath Singh, the then Additional District and Sessions Judge of Araria. Dismissal of these three from service will be effective from February 12, 2014, when the state government was first dismissed from service without a disciplinary inquiry on the recommendation of Patna High Court. In the notification issued by the state government, it has been clarified that after the dismissal of the three judges from service, not all will be entitled to any kind of facility.

Bihar government on Tuesday finally issued orders for dismissal of three subordinate courts judges on charges of moral turpitude committed by them on the Republic Day, 2013 in Nepal. They have been denied all post-retirement benefits and would be deprived of even pension.
The general administration department of Bihar government in its four-page order said the three judges Hari NIwas Gupta, then principal judge, Jitendra Nath Singh, then additional sessions and district judge, and Komal Ram, then sub-judge, would not be eligible for their allowances, salaries with retrospective effect. It is for the first time senior judicial officers have been dismissed on charges of moral turpitude.
