Our Correspondent Diphu, Sep.30 (EMN): A consultation on anti-human trafficking with the theme ‘Slavery still exists’ was organised by Karbi Anglong Baptist Convention (KABC) in collaboration with the Indian Mission Coordination Committee (IMCC) at Jirsong Asong on Friday. Associate Director, anti-human trafficking, IMCC, Soma Chakroborty, the resource person, spoke on the theme and asked church leaders and members to be alert on anti-social activities like human trafficking which have become common at present. General Secretary, KABC, Rev. Kamson Rongphar said the KABC and IMCC organised the one-day consultative meet on anti-human trafficking for church leaders and members of Karbi Anglong, West Karbi Anglong and Sonapur. The main purpose of organising the consultation is to spread awareness among the church leaders and members on the prevailing human trafficking that is taking place around.
