“We continue to like quality business in Tata Power at this point of time. Having said that, NTPC could also remain a stronger player largely because of the volume increase. However, we are not likely to see quantum jump and that is where one will probably have to be mindful.”
Indian shares opened higher on Monday as another solid month of U.S. job creation boosted hopes that the world's largest economy is heading for a so-called soft landing.
"If Jio Financials goes to Rs 180, I will buy. We just made a thumb rule that for the Reliance shares, we can give them say 10-20% discount. For the cash you give them, say two-two and a half does not matter and that is the price. But you cannot give a premium for the Reliance shares. Reliance itself is a good company. And then you give another premium for holding it."
Mukesh Ambani s Reliance Industries is in talks with global and domestic executive head hunters as it looks to hire a CEO for its newly listed Jio Financial Services insurance business. Reports say that the company will hire a leader for the insurance wing of the company before early next year.
“There is a lot of value that the Street is probably giving to both these elements of businesses as well. For Jio, the equity value is probably coming out anywhere between Rs 725 to 775 on a standalone basis. For Reliance Retail, anywhere between Rs 1,250-1,350. So there is a broad construct in terms of the expected SOTP valuations within the entire group itself.”
