Nowshera CB collected record Rs501m revenue July 19, 2021
NOWSHERA: Cantonment Board, Nowshera, Chief Executive Officer Zofishan Manzoor on Sunday said that the board had collected record Rs501 million revenue despite the coronavirus pandemic.
“The collected revenue would be spent on the cantt area to develop it along modern lines to facilitate the residents,” she told reporters during a briefing here.
The official said that the historic Jinnah Park had been further developed to make it a better recreational spot for the cantt dwellers.
She said that a zoo was established besides setting up a unique Food Street, Civil Mess, Golf Ground and Children Park, which increased the beauty of Jinnah Park.
RAWALPINDI: All Rawalpindi Restaurants Association has set up a new vaccination camp at Pearl Restaurant, Jinnah Park, to provide the opportunity to adjoining restaurant employees to get Covid-19 vaccination as per government policy.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the association’s president, Chaudhry Mohammad Farooq, said it was the 15th camp established in the garrison city by the body.
He said in Rawalpindi’s cantonment area, vaccination in 90pc of the restaurants was completed, while 70pc of the city’s restaurants had been covered in the ongoing campaign.
Mr Farooq said it would be their top priority to ensure 100pc vaccination of restaurants’ staff, adding that, “we have advised the government to provide mobile vehicles fixed with all equipment, including air conditioners, for the vaccination camp. He said they were determined to ensure free vaccination for all eligible citizens of the city.
Homage paid to Turkish people for foiling 2016 coup bid

Islamabad : Turkish ambassador Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul and Pakistan s law minister Farough Naseem on Thursday paid homage to 251 citizens of Turkey, who laid down lives during the defeated July 15, 2016, military coup in the country.
They showed up in F-9 Fatima Jinnah Park and planted a sapling as part of an event organised by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency to mark Turkey’s Democracy and National Unity Day. The Turkish envoy thanked Pakistan for siding with Turkey against the 2016 ‘assault on democracy’ and subsequent actions against the ‘Gulenist Terror Organisation’ (FETO).
