Line of Duty has been a wild ride. We ve gone round the houses with theories, suspects, obsessions with spelling ( definate ), and when Sunday night s season finale rolled around we expected answers. However, many fans are convinced that one specific answer we got is actually a huge red herring, and that one big clue from earlier in the series points to Ian Buckells

Just because Buckells was exposed as the OCG rat doesn’t mean everyone else is exonerated – quite the opposite. Exactly how complicit Chief Constable Osborne was in the various crimes and scandals AC-12 were looking at is still unknown; for now, it seems, he’s gotten away with his role in Vella’s murder. With Carmichael in charge, however, it seems likely everything will be swept under the rug.
