A Gary man who skipped his murder trial was sentenced Thursday to 58 years in prison for killing a 21-year-old man during a botched 2015 gas station robbery.
Daidreon Sparks, 25, was 18 years old when he helped several co-defendants during the 2015 homicide of 21-year-old Donald Fuzzell at a gas station in Gary, according to court records.
