STEUBENVILLE Steubenville City Schools Board of Education has a 7-acre property on Stanton Boulevard members are hoping at some point to develop, though at this point Superintendent Melinda Young said they haven’t settled on a plan.
A request to rezone the property from Community Commercial (B-2) to Public and Semi-Public is on the Steubenville Planning and Zoning Commission agenda for Monday’s meeting, listing as the intended purpose “the possible construction of baseball and softball fields, possible stands, dugouts, concessions, restrooms and equipment storage.” The board will be asked to accept the application, request legislation and schedule public hearing for April 5.
