it s already so bad and it s going to get worse. how is the city preparing? hi, poppy, jim. first of all, this is kind of a crazy sight we re seeing in downtown st. louis. this gives you the idea of the conditions here. look at this roadway that is totally submerged. you can see the lamp post in the background. that gives you a sense in terms of how high the water has risen. this is all mississippi river that has flooded this roadway. we re talking about 400 roads that have been closed as a result of the flooding throughout the state of missouri and in addition to that, you ve got a couple of dozen levies that have been breached. some of the folks who have been impacted the most by all of this, of course, are the farmers, who just cannot get out in their fields about plant their crops because the fields are inundated by water. in terms of what people are doing today up and down the river, you see people filling up sand bags, doing the best they can to try to protect their homes and t
