Family and friends gathered in Chesterfield Township Friday evening for a candlelight vigil honoring the life of beloved father Jim Nicolai, also known by his WWJ radio anchor name Jim Matthews.
The brother of the Michigan anchor slain in alleged murder-suicide attempt by a family friend said that his 10-year-old nephew attempted to fight off the man who attacked his family.
In a one-on-one interview with 7 Action News, Joe Nicolai, brother of now deceased father and radio anchor Jim Matthews, describes Friday’s nightmarish tragedy on Bayview Drive.
