A $500,000-plus project to replace the Jokerst Memorial Park pickleball courts in Festus started Jan. 8, with the new courts expected to be ready by the spring.
The Festus City Council on Sept. 25 approved an operating budget of $40,093,191 for new fiscal year that includes funds for a splash pad area and an all-inclusive playground at Larry G. Crites Memorial Park, among other projects.
