The Marseilles City Council authorized City Clerk Lesley Hart to advertise for bids for the renovation of 200 Riverfront Drive, or the new City Hall and police station.
Marseilles still is looking to get a Brownfields grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to apply to cleanup of the vacant Washington School and old Nabisco buildings.
The Marseilles City Council met in closed session at the conclusion of Wednesday’s regular meeting, but it did not take any action on a possible purchase of the former Illinois Valley Cellular building.
