fbi director s view of this legislation. what does he think of it? this is a really it s a rather unusual situation. the director of the fbi jim comby doesn t often weigh in, but in this case he has expressed deep concerns about this legislation because he believes it would be impossible for him to personally sign off on every single individual refugee that is coming from syria and iraq. that s what this legislation would require him to do and other national security officials in the u.s. government. he believes it s impossible for him to 100% guarantee that these people are not going to be a security threat. he says that there is a very robust process in place. his agency, the fbi is working with the intelligence agencies, homeland security, to try to vet refugees to make sure there s a minimal as possible security risk but that the legislation that the house just passed raises this to a standard that
