Glad you asked. And not only are you correct about those early references to 1918, but the person who wrote them was George Whitney Calhoun, co-founder of the Packers. Obviously, what he had to say can t be dismissed with anything less than overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Thus, I m guessing that I ve spent upwards of 100 hours, maybe double that, researching the subject.
