The Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce has a series of upcoming events scheduled for March, each focused on providing the most current information and developing meaningful connections to help the regionâs businesses.
On March 3, Hunter Byrnes and Steven Gould of Byrnes Gould Law will present The Rules of COVID-19Â Management: Understanding Virginiaâs Permanent Workplace Health and Safety Standards. The program will focus on Virginiaâs newly adopted, permanent workplace standards to train and protect employees and develop response plans during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Morning Brew, the Chamberâs networking series, will be held virtually on March 17 at 8 a.m. Morning Brew provides access to intentional networking to share a business message with business and community leaders. The Chamberâs newest Innovation Partners, Blue Ridge Fiberboard, Columbia Forest Products and JTI will be highlighted at the event.
DANVILLE, Va. â The COVID-19 pandemic has left hundreds of thousands of Virginians without jobs and health insurance coverage. Project Connect, a special new partnership among the Virginia Health Care Foundation (VHCF), the Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission (TRRC) and the Danville Regional Foundation (DRF) has just been launched to help many local residents obtain needed health insurance from the state.
The Commission and DRF have provided funding to VHCF for an Outreach Worker who will provide 1:1 application assistance to families and individuals interested in obtaining state coverage.
