Described as a man admired by thousands for his teaching and production skills, there have been many tributes paid to the late Brendan O’Byrne, Aughafin, Edgeworthstown, following his death on Tuesday at the Regional Hospital Mullingar.
A highly respected former principal of St Patrick’s National School, Killeen, Brendan was renowned as a gifted educator and an enthusiastic producer, working closely with local drama and musical groups over several decades, including Killeen Dramatic Society, Mostrim Musical Society and St Mel’s Musical Society.
