Investigators provided insight Wednesday in a court filing in the first suburban slaying in Berks County this week while the investigation continues into a second homicide, both from domestic violence incidents.Â
Jillian R. Blimline, 38, initially told police that she was decorating the Christmas tree Sunday night in the dining room of a split-level home in the first block of Maywood Avenue in South Heidelberg Township.
She heard a noise and in her peripheral vision saw Chad A. Macwilliam, 39, on the floor with a pair of scissors in his chest. She called 9-1-1, requesting medical attention for her fiance.

A South Heidelberg Township woman was arrested Tuesday in the stabbing of her partner, the father of their 4-year-old daughter, during a quarrel in their home Sunday night, authorities said.
Jillian R. Blimline, 38, is charged with first- and third-degree murder, aggravated assault and possessing an instrument of crime, Berks County detectives said.

At 9:06 p.m. Sunday, Berks 9-1-1 dispatchers received a call from Blimline at the couple s split-level home on Maywood Avenue, which runs between Aspen Avenue and Beacon Road in a quiet neighborhood on the opposite side of Route 422 from the Green Valley subdivision.

Investigators in Berks County charged a 38-year-old woman with homicide Tuesday, a day after her live-in boyfriend was fatally stabbed in the chest.
County Chief Detective Michael Gombar said Jillian R. Blimline of Sinking Spring faces counts of first- and third-degree murder and aggravated assault in the death of 39-year-old Chad Macwilliam.

Macwilliam was killed in the Maywood Avenue home he shared with Blimline and their 4-year-old daughter, Gombar said. He said South Heidelberg Township police arrived at the scene at 9:12 p.m. Monday after a distraught woman called 911.
