EVANSVILLE, Ind. The University of Evansville s Class of 2020 returned Friday night to close a chapter of their lives upended by the COVID-19 pandemic at the tail-end of their senior year of college.
Members of the Class of 2020 attended commencement
at the Ford Center Friday, albeit 12 months a little bit late, University President Christopher Pietruszkiewicz noted in his remarks.
Last year s graduation was postponed because of the pandemic. The delayed celebration was held ahead of the Class of 2021 s commencement events on Saturday.
Out of the more than 400 that graduated in 2020, more than 130 former students attended, with some traveling from other cities and states to be there in person.
