Women from all over New Zealand have gathered in Timaru for the Altrusa International Incorporated District Fifteen annual conference. The district governor, Maria Mackay, of Oamaru, said it was an opportunity to meet up with old friends and make new friends. A total of 130 women were attending the conference, which Mackay said would include a programme of business and listening to keynote speakers, Lisa Lawrence, president of the National Council of Women, writer/journalist Jill Worrall and Tai Hartley-Parsons of Kāinga Ora.
