Kimia Rahnavardi
Ramadan is a time of spiritual reflection and growth shared among Muslims across the world. For local designer Kimia Rahnavardi, observing Ramadan has been a more-isolating experience than in previous years. COVID-19 regulations have limited public religious gatherings, and Ms. Rahnavardi has been unable to find any way within the community to observe the religious holiday with her peers.
Ms. Rahnavardi moved to the area for a job with Falmouth s Jill Neubauer Architects in August 2020, following her graduation from Rhode Island School of Design with a master of design degree in interior architecture. Before her move, Ms. Rahnavardi celebrated Ramadan with fellow classmates at RISD despite limited cooking space in her dorm.
