But we learned about a half hour ago from oakland fire officials that hes 5 years old, and is in lifethreatening condition. Several people saw the collision and the immediate aftermath. Off duty San Francisco firefighter rushed to provide aid. He about an inch and a half gash underneath his chin and a quarter inch opening. He started to go into shock. A little boy in the street. Laying with his mom. She was holding onto him. Trying to get some kind of response out of him. Reporter the boy was rushed to oakland childrens hospital. The driver of the van stopped, and is cooperating with police. She was shaken up really bad. I spoke to her. She shook. She said i was driving down the street and all of a sudden there was this kid, and he was there in front of my car. Reporter i want to show you now this is one of the cars involved in that chase that that driver hit one of two parked cars tulip. Heres the surprising detail about that driver. This is her fourth dui in the past 10 years. Take a look at some video from the scene earlier. Ill walk you through. The suspect drove on to a closed onramp to westbound 80. A chp tried to pull her over. Then she exited on mission and van ness and the chase began. She led officers through small streets in the mission and in that short time she hit one car that rolled forward and hit a cyclist. That cyclist was taken to San Francisco General Hospital is expected to be okay. But after that she continued on to hit another parked car that one we showed you when we first were here at the beginning of our shot before hitting another light pole at 17th and van ness knocking out the traffic lights
