Legitimate police officer. All of us have a badge and we carry Police Identification cards that look professional and usually the chiefs signature is on there. And unmarked vehicles should have frontfacing flashlights and even if the officer is in plain clothes, they should have a police vest on. If you want for someone to show them the badge, it is unsafe. This incident has parents talking to their kids about being alert. Someone said on facebook to call 911 immediately to report it so a marked car will come. And that was one good idea. And then another good idea ive heard is to point your bike the other way so you are ready to go the way the car isnt going. Following UC Santa Barbaraâs decision to provide housing in a limited capacity for Winter Quarter 2020, 1,000 undergraduate students are moving into university-owned apartment buildings in Isla Vista beginning this Friday. All undergraduate residence halls remain closed.
Unlike in years past, only 10 to 20 students will move in per hour to adhere to COVID-19 social distancing guidelines.
