ADRIAN An Adrian-based dermatology clinic offered peace of mind to more than 25 individuals with free skin cancer screenings as part of a national campaign last week.
The offices of Desjarlais Dermatology and Aesthetic Center, which has served southeast Michigan and northwest Ohio for nearly 30 years, participated last week by screening individuals at no cost and with no insurance required.
“Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United States and it is estimated that one person dies from melanoma the deadliest form of skin cancer every hour,” said Desjarlais’ Physician Assistant, Jill Fisher, who worked with patients and administered the skin checks last week. “Yet, not only is skin cancer preventable, it’s highly treatable when detected early.”

Save the Date: Vice President for Student Affairs/Dean of Students Finalist Interviews
The Vice President for Student Affairs/Dean of Students search committee will host on-campus candidate interviews starting Thursday (April 15). The finalists were selected as the result of a nationwide search that began in January.
The campus community is invited to attend a campus forum for each candidate via Zoom. The presentations will be approximately 30 minutes with a 15 minute Q&A to follow.
Specific dates and candidate information will be released tomorrow (April 13).
