The latest land scam is that the owners of a layout (Lakshmi Layout) are accused of selling the entire layout to a buyer after having sold individual residential sites in the layout to other buyers more than a decade ago. Some of those who bought sites there have sold it to other buyers in 2015 and 2021. The hapless buyers (those who bought the sites recently) came to know that the entire layout has been sold to Kanaka Krishna Reddy and Sunilkumar K in April 2022. Lakshmi Layout was developed at Hullahalli, Jigani Hobli of Anekal in Bangalore Rural.
