TAWAU: An auxiliary policeman who joked that he was carrying a bomb at the Tawau Airport (LTT) recently, was fined RM2,000 or two months’ jail for criminal intimidation and causing annoyance.

(pic), 30, pleaded guilty before High Court Deputy Registrar Amir Shah Amir Hassan who sat as Magistrate, to the charge against him on Monday.
He had criminally intimidated and caused fear to Marylisa Tahir, at 8.20am on May 20 this year at the check-in counter of the Malaysia Airline System (MAS) in LTT, here.

The offence under Section 506 of the Penal Code provides for a jail term of two years, or with a fine, or both, upon conviction.
