Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) qualified teachers in Ranchi have decided to defer their protest over pay fixation until January 5. They have been demanding a wage scale similar to government employees and a revision in their salary. The teachers planned to gherao the chief minister's residence but were stopped by the police. JMM leader Vinod Pandey has assured the teachers of a meeting to discuss their demands.
