an associated press /jfk poll if clinton is honest, 33% said somewhat. a senior official confirms the white house has decided they will not release any emails between the president and secretary clinton until after she leaves office, citing past precedent. i m told there s a small number of emails between the two leaders, mostly nonsubstantive. this shows the president knew she was using private email. the onus is on the secretary to plea serve those records. so we re still going through them. it s interesting exchange every time you get one of these. no doubt. huma abedin giving information from the egyptian foreign minister and clinton says why are you emailing me and if she realizes we shouldn t be putting this on email and a whole bunch is redacted. a couple emails giving hillary clinton updates about a facility in chile. u.s. facility hit by earthquake. another facility in kurdistan. a security problem. why is that interesting?

president does a point better, 47/44. now look at the new associated press/jfk poll. obama leads romney nationally by eight and he leads santorum by 52 to 43. now look at a couple key states that have been battlegrounds but aren t too close right now. in wisconsin, president obama leads romney by 15 points in a new poll from marquette law school. 53-38. and the president s lead over santorum in the badger state is 11. 51-40. in michigan obama has an 18-point lead over romney in our new nbc news/marist poll, 51-33. against santorum the president s lead is 26. 55-29. finally to arizona, a state that was seen as out of reach for the democrats but is tightening. romney leads the president by only 45 to 40. santorum is up by three, 45-42. we ll have much more on these michigan and arizona numbers later in the show.
