only 21 tornado deaths, all of last year we had 21. this hasn t been a high number count. the ones we had hit a lot of mobile homes, that s where a lot of deaths occur. the last 24 hours, all the red triangles from yesterday, pretty much covered all of central oklahoma up into southern kansas. of course oklahoma city is where one of the deadly ones did occur yesterday. here was the setup as we went through 8:00 last night. the jet stream is active, blowing dry air off the rockies. same time the gulf of mexico is open and bringing moisture to the north. those winds when they intersect like that cause the storms to spin. that s why we had the tornado outbreak yesterday. what does today look like? today we have a slight risk of severe weather. that s the area in yellow. yesterday at this time we had a high risk. we knew we were going to have a tornado outbreak. we do not expect one today. jet stream winds in the same, similar direction. we can see large hail and damaging wind in the areas
