DepEd to schools: Use online platforms, drop boxes for early remote registration

The early registration started in March and will end on April 30. Similar to the previous year, early registration forms will be available in barangay halls and other public spaces. An early registration drop box will be made available for parents or guardians to collect and submit the forms in these identified places, Education Undersecretary Jesus Mateo said in a statement.
The DepEd said in-person registration is only allowed in areas under modified general community quarantine (MGCQ), provided that safety protocols are followed.
Mateo said that only parents or guardians are permitted to transact within the school premises for early registration purposes.
Following the adjustments in this school year’s calendar for public schools, the Department of Education (DepEd) said that private schools can make the “necessary adjustments” for the opening of School Year (SY) 2021-2022.
