Kingsville police arrested a 25-year-old man on multiple charges, including his alleged role in the fatal shooting of 38-year-old woman in March. Around 2 a.m. on March 27, police officers responded to a shooting in the 500 block of West Lee in Kingsville, a news release said. Upon arrival, officers found a woman who had been shot. She was transported to a nearby hospital. The woman, later identified as Aurora Perez, died from her injuries on April 3. A patrol officer saw the suspect fleeing the scene. He refused to stop and officers followed him to the 1000 block of North 9th Street, where the suspect crashed the vehicle, the release said. The suspect continued to flee on foot.
