Writer and cultural promoter Yunier Riquenes, coordinator of the event to be held on July 5 and 6, confirmed to Prensa Latina the workshop will be dedicated to Santiago poet Jesus Cos Causse and Barbadian Edward Kamau Brathwaite, important figures of regional literature. On Internet websites, he noted, the initial panel will be conducted by academics from the Universidad de Oriente, one of the main institutions of the meeting along with the Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Mexico and scholars from Chile, the United States and Argentina.
