FOSH SVG extends food package assistance

A food package assistance outreach, undertaken by Friends of Sion Hill SVG to provide basic items to some of the economically challenged residents of Sion Hill and its environs, has been extended.
The exercise, which was initially expected to take place just before the Christmas season last year, got going in early January, by a delay in the arrival of a shipment of food items from the USA.
Sixty (60) persons were earmarked for assistance, but prevailing conditions forced the organisation to extend its benevolence to some of the most vulnerable among them.
