Dr. Peter Scoma’s psychotherapy office, located in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania saw a 50% increase in referrals and sessions after the first lockdown.
Scoma, who has been a psychotherapist for over ten years, found that college students have been coming to his office in greater numbers because of academics.
“The academic consequences of the first lockdown, usually a poor performance, are becoming more formally apparent as last semester grades are received,” Dr. Scoma said.
