A permanent decontamination station is at the Crosslake Joint Maintenance Facility off Highway 3. A mobile decontamination station will be at different public accesses in the county.
Decontaminations are available to boaters free of charge, with priority given to boaters who have been referred for decontamination by watercraft inspectors or law enforcement present on area landings.
Watercraft inspections at public landings once again account for a vast majority of spending dedicated to AIS, which is allocated to counties for this purpose by the state.
