During party conventions over the weekend, Democrats endorsed incumbent Ned Lamont and the GOP picked Bob Stefanowski for governor of Connecticut, forming rematch of their 2018 gubernatorial race. Both parties also endorsed candidates for secretary of the state, treasurer, and other federal and statewide offices.
Connecticut Republicans endorsed former state House Minority Leader Themis Klarides, a moderate on social issues, to challenge two-term Democratic U.S. Sen.
In his second run in four years, Republican Bob Stefanowski took a major step Friday night when he was nominated as the Republican candidate against Democratic Gov. Ned Lamont.
