‘Meerkat Meetup’ visits The Shoppes
The Shoppes at Carlsbad is treating visitors to a playful experience from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily through June 28 with oversized, brightly colored meerkat sculptures. “The Meerkat Meetup” is part of a national tour kicking off in Carlsbad and features 30 colorful meerkat statues standing nearly 4 feet tall. The mall has teamed with artist collective Cracking Art to bring the free exhibition to San Diego County. Visitors can interact with and discover groups of meerkats throughout the mall. “The Meerkat Meetup” will visit 10 properties and nine states over the course of five months.
