KANSAS CITY, Mo. â Convicted killer Kylr Yust has filed his first appeal for his Cass County murder conviction with the Missouri Court of Appeals, western district.
In April, a jury
found Yust guilty of voluntary manslaughter in the death of Kara Kopetsky and second-degree murder in the death of Jessica Runions.
His appeal was not unexpected.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. â Attorneys for Kylr Yust, who was
convicted in April of murder and manslaughter in the deaths of Jessica Runions and Kara Kopetsky, have filed a motion for a new trial.
The 56-page motion was filed Monday in Cass County court, requesting either an acquittal or a new trial and detailed 61 instances in support of the request.
