PARADISE VALLEY, AZ â ABC15 has obtained 911 calls from two separate incidents involving a former Valley superintendent, harassed over in-person learning.
Dr. Jesse Welsh resigned as superintendent of the Paradise Valley School District December 7, after only a year-and-a-half on the job.
Welsh and the district still will not say why he resigned, releasing a joint statement last month that read in part, After careful consideration over the last few weeks, it has been determined by the PV Schools Governing Board and Superintendent Welsh that it would be in the best interest for PVSchools and Dr. Welsh to separate, effective December 31, 2020.

Chandler Unified School District Superintendent Camille Casteel has announced she will retire at the end of the school year in June 2021.
The superintendent of the Chandler Unified School District has announced that she will be retiring at the end of this school year. After 50 years of working in the district, Superintendent Camille Casteel feels this is the right time to retire, she said in a letter to families.
Casteel joined the district as an elementary school teacher in 1971 when the district only had six schools and about 5,000 students. It’s since grown to 47 schools and 44,000 students. A trailblazer in the district, Casteel became its first female principal in 1983 and first female superintendent in 1996.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ â Outgoing Superintendent of Paradise Valley Unified School District. Dr. Jesse Welsh will receive more than double his annual base salary as part of a severance payout from the district.
The governing board unanimously accepted Dr. Welsh s resignation on Monday, December 7, and according to his resignation agreement and release, the district will pay him $413,378.55 in January.
His original contract puts his annual base salary at $195,000.
