Letters to the Editor - Three cheers to Dallas Morning News carriers

Letters to the Editor Readers appreciated receiving their paper during the winter storms last month. Copies of the April 7, 2017 issue of The Dallas Morning News newspapers move overhead on April 6, 2017 at The Dallas Morning News North Plant in Plano, Texas.(Ashley Landis / Staff Photographer) We received many letters praising Dallas Morning News carriers who braved the freezing weather to deliver the paper. Here are a few of those letters. What an uplift to receive The Dallas Morning News during last week’s unprecedented winter storm. Our paper came early every morning. We felt in touch with community and the world while another human being was out there doing his job on treacherous roads.

People were busy in the Back Mountain working hard to clear away the several inches of snow from their homes that fell during the storm over the past few days. Bonnie Greenwood was digging out her driveway; she says the amount of snow would have been worse if it wasn t for the help from a snowplow. “We had a plow truck come yesterday to plow us out but we got about eight more inches overnight so we re re-digging now to try to get us out,” said Greenwood.
