JACKSON â Richard Grubman dreamed of building the biggest house in Jackson, a towering, mostly windowless cinder block rectangle.
But the 8,000-square-foot single-family residence Grubman visualized would actually be something else: It would be a place where the retired hedge fund mogulâs valuable art collection would be secure, with thousands of square feet for his treasures to be displayed and admired. It would be a huge building with a small residence sitting atop a private art museum.
The âsingle-family homeâ has only a tiny part dedicated to what most would see as a residence, including two bedrooms that would seem tight in a double-wide. Because sleeping was never the point.
