Body found on Des Allemands Bridge identified as Houma car theft suspect, police say
Authorities identified the body as belonging to 19-year-old Frederick Howard, of Gretna.
Howard’s body was found 6 p.m. Monday at an elevated section of the Des Allemands Bridge on U.S. 90. He did not have a driver’s license or any forms of identification, Senior Trooper Jesse LaGrange said.
The body suffered injuries consistent with a fall from the bridge and autopsy results are pending, officials said. Though efforts to identify the body were initially unsuccessful, State Police learned about a social medial post Wednesday about a missing Gretna man who was last seen Monday.
