a little bit later. msnbc s, jesse courage, thank you so much. i want to turn to washington and the path forward to address gun violence and the rise of hate crimes in this country. joining me now, new york congresswoman bowman. you tweeted you are overwhelmed by this active hate. what do you make of the shooting in your state, targeted at the black community? overwhelmed, that is what i continue to feel. horrified, devastated. i feel hunted. i feel consistently under attack as a black man in america. that s the way i felt my entire life, through microaggressions, through school curriculum, through acts of hate, like at the mh urge a couple of years ago and will happen through american history. we need a reckoning, we need to look white nationalism directly in the face and finally do something about it. we continue to kick the can down the road on this issue.
