Turns out you can just make a band. Just ask Pencildive s singer/songwriter Gina De Nardo. She and drummer Zach Hirsch spoke with me recently about their first full length record
Grown-Ups. It was recorded in a cabin in the Adirondacks during the pandemic. Hirsch calls it a record of catharsis. You can hear the funnel of emotion that Hirsch describes on the ten tracks due out May 28th on Albany s Paintbox Records. And if the name Zach Hirsch sounds familiar to NCPR listeners it s because he was an NCPR reporter from 2013-2018.
