The recently reunited DICTATORS have just released a new video underlining their return.
Founder members of the NYC proto-punk legends Andy Shernoff, Scott ‘Top Ten’ Kempner and Ross ‘The Boss’ Friedman recently hooked up to make new music. With original drummer Stu Boy King having sadly passed away in 2018, the trio invited longtime friend and founding Blue Öyster Cult drummer Albert Bouchard to fill the drumstool.
Although Kempner has now sadly had to bow out for health reasons, the band will continue and ‘Let’s Get The Band Back Together’ is a perfect declaration of intent.
“My buddy Jesse Bates had a song called ‘Let’s Get The Band Back Together’,” explains Shernoff. “I thought it was really clever and funny so I asked him if I could fool around with it and put my spin on it. He said go for it, so I made few changes and recorded it on my own a few years ago but it was just so perfect for the Dictators that we couldn’t resist.”
