State College government inaugurated a new era on Monday as three new council members and a new mayor were sworn in, establishing what several members called the “most diverse” governing board in the borough’s history.
Several groups of Penn State faculty and students are calling for the university to start the new semester virtually, expressing concern that record-breaking COVID cases could prove disastrous for a community with limited health-care capacity.
