Brett Beckwith was a tough out at Plainridge Park on Thursday afternoon (Nov. 9) as he won five of the eight races on the program, including a natural hat trick in races six, seven and eight on a day that featured a lot of rain and a very sloppy track.
Bad And Boujee made it rain at Plainridge Park on Tuesday afternoon (Nov. 7) first by winning the $15,000 co-featured conditioned pace and then by returning a stout $26.20 mutuel.
The second day of the $3 million Massachusetts Sire Stakes held at Plainridge Park on Tuesday (Sept. 26) featured two-year-old performers of both gaits and genders and dominant winners prevailed in most of the events. The fillies went one $75,000 race each on the trot and pace while the colts and geldings had split divisions for both gaits that were valued at $40,000 apiece.
This Saturday’s $200,000 Battle of Lake Erie features many storylines, but racing fans may be surprised to hear that two competitors in the strong field have faced each other on two continents.
