Temps cool into 70s overnight; thunderstorms possible throughout the week News 12 Staff Updated on: Jul 06, 2021, 2:41am New Jersey has the potential to see some thunderstorms on Tuesday, as temperatures remain in the 80s. News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says that some of these thunderstorms have the potential to become severe as they pass through the state. The storms may produce heavy rain and strong winds. Monday’s overnight hours will see a few passing clouds with temperatures dipping into the 70s. Tuesday will start off cloudy, followed by scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon. High temperatures will be around 86 degrees. But Curren says that some areas may reach temperatures in the 90s. Some thunderstorms may remain by the evening hours, followed by partly cloudy skies overnight.

Storm bringing snow to parts of NJ; wintry mix and rain for other areas News 12 Staff Updated on:Jan 03, 2021, 11:05pm EST A storm is bringing snow, sleet and rain to the Garden State to wrap up the first weekend of 2021. The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for northwestern New Jersey, including areas of Sussex, Hunterdon, Morris,  Somerset and Warren counties through 1 a.m. Monday. News 12 meteorologists say we re seeing a second round of snow, wintry mix and rain through the evening. Areas seeing snow can expect another 1-2 on top of what fell earlier. The snow is staying generally north of I-78 with accumulations mainly north of I-80 and in spots with higher elevations.
