After 15-month restoration project, Lucy the Elephant will be formally unveiled to the public on Wednesday, Dec. 28 at 5:30 p.m. The $2.4 million project replaced the deteriorating metal exterior of the Jersey Shore landmark. Lucy is the oldest roadside attraction in America, and a national historic landmark.
